How shipping your car works
Tell us about your car and route
Share the pickup and delivery locations, the vehicle, whether it runs, and your preferred date.
Get your quote
A transport specialist reviews the details and confirms pricing and expectations with you.
We arrange the carrier
The shipment is coordinated with a suitable carrier, and pickup details are confirmed.
Your car is delivered
You hear from us through delivery. The carrier's driver inspects your car at pickup and delivery, so keep your copy of the Bill of Lading.
Getting your car ready
Details can vary by carrier, and we'll confirm what applies to your shipment. As a general guide:
- Remove personal belongings and valuables from the vehicle
- Leave about a quarter tank of fuel
- Note any existing damage and take dated photos
- Make sure the truck can reach you. If your street is narrow, a nearby large parking lot often works
Your questions, answered
Should I choose open or enclosed transport?
Most personal vehicles ship on open carriers. Classic, luxury, or high-value cars may be better suited to enclosed transport. Not sure? Choose "Not sure — help me choose" on the quote form, and we'll walk you through it.
Can I leave personal items in the car?
We recommend removing personal belongings and valuables before pickup. Details vary by carrier, so ask your transport specialist what applies to your shipment.
What if my car doesn't run?
Tell us up front. Non-running vehicles typically need a carrier with a winch, and we'll arrange the right equipment. It can affect availability and price.
Is my car insured during transport?
Every shipment is insured against damage in transit. If you'd like coverage details, ask when you request your quote.
How does pricing work?
Pricing is explained upfront, with no surprise fees. Billing and payment details are confirmed with your transport specialist when you request a quote.
Can you ship more than one car?
Yes. Mention the additional vehicles under "Additional information" on the quote form, and we'll coordinate them together where possible.
